ABOUT OUR HISTORY

Owner Jack Harlan decided to leave his electrical engineering job to pursue a career in the automotive repair business, and there was no looking back. Upon graduating from a tech school in Glendale, Arizona, Jack moved to Canfield and went to work for his auto mechanic idol, Bill Pakula. After four years, he moved to the Frederick Dodge dealership, where he spent 14 years as a certified technician and service manager. With 18 years of experience behind him, Jack made the bold decision to open Harlan’s Auto Care in 2009 to run a small auto repair shop where Harlan would be the sole employee, but that didn’t last long. Within nine months, Jack found himself overwhelmed with work, so he began adding employees and bays. Every time a space became available in the complex, we expanded, eventually growing to the now 10,000 square foot auto repair shop the people of Canfield have come to know and trust.
