This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies.  Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.

Must have applicable insurance licenses or must be willing to obtain the applicable licensing requirements. (Property/Casualty License in Kansas), (Life/Health License in Kansas), (Notary Public in Kansas). See the Kansas Insurance Department for the requirements for both licenses and the Secretary of State for Notary Public requirements.

Sales Experience Preferred (i.e. outside sales representative, inside sales representative, retail sales associate, marketing representative, or telemarketing).

Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs.

Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening.

Excellent interpersonal skills. People-oriented.

Organizational skills, Detail oriented.

Self-motivated.

Dedicated to customer service.

Experience in a variety of computer applications, particularly Windows (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).

Ability to multi-task.

Ability to make presentations to potential clients.

Achieve mutually agreed upon marketing goals.

Ability to conduct interviews in the office.

Enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.

Experience in marketing financial products is helpful.

Courses on ethical and client centered sales practices will be required.

The selected candidate is expected to remain current in product changes, licensing, technical developments, and continuing education requirements.

Electronic Database Management - Data Entry and Follow-Up System Using Proprietary Software.

 

General Responsibilities:

Develop and market to new prospects, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.

Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers.

Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage changes, quoting and completion of policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.

Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.

Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each day.

 

Hours & Location:

Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with one hour lunch break. Full-time.

Office located at 1000 N. Tyler Rd, Suite 400, Wichita, KS 67212 

General location at 9th Street N & Tyler Rd by Northwest High School.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
