Service Advisor Job Description
The Service Advisor will assist the Store Manager oversee all the daily operations of the store. They will help manage the store’s employees time by scheduling and assigning duties and responsibilities.
They will oversee the operational and organizational standards of the store as well as implement the marketing, advertising and financial strategy dictated by the Store Manager.
The Store Manager will regularly review the weekly and quarterly financial data, with the service advisor, of the store to ensure the store is meeting the financial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Consult customers with their Auto repair needs
- Scheduling of appointment for customers
- Checking in/out customers repair orders
- Meet Sales Goals
- Cash Management/Offer payment plans
- Time management
- The ability to explain repairs to customers
- Assign duties and responsibilities to the store’s staff
- Retail supervision, and policy implementation
- Inventory management
- Provide excellent Customer Service
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- People skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- The ability to work in high-pressure situations and to “think on your feet.”
- Be able to read and understand sales data
- Excellent organizational and time management skills as multi-tasking is a must
- Self-motivated with a high level of confidence
- Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule Monday – Saturday, including morning, afternoon and weekend shifts, and to work overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation
Ideal Candidate:
- Retail or Automotive Management experience
- Thrives in a busy, fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems a plus
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle repair
- Bilingual (Not Required)
