Job Description:
- Provide service to existing clients related to updating policies, answering questions and resolving issues such as those related to billing, audits or inspections.
- Provide support as needed during claim time, both to the client and to any adjusters involved.
- Work with new and existing clients to understand their business operations and resulting insurance needs. Gather necessary data, research policy options and then present solutions to address those needs.
- Set appointments and/or client calls or support a producer to review existing policies, review liability limits and exposures, explore other coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, round out accounts, and bind renewals.
- Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
- Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
- Preferred candidates will hold a North Carolina insurance license and have a minimum of two years commercial lines insurance account management experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must be comfortable with communication which is by phone, email, video and text. Additionally, candidate must be more than minimally proficient with computer use and must have an enthusiastic, open attitude towards implementation of technology.
- Possess a sense of urgency, when needed, and above average attention to detail, organization, multi- tasking and follow up skills.
- Must be comfortable handling difficult situations with customers, some which are complex and may need to be resolved without direct supervision.
- Candidate must have a personal accountability mindset, a desire to learn and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
