Description:
Ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are available for projects and for retail sale, by means of procurement, and by managing the warehouse and shipping & receiving.
-Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost-effective way; while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.
-Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational procedures.
-Maintains physical condition of warehouse as well as planning and implementing new design layouts as necessary.
-Implement procurement strategy and policies.
-Forecast procurement needs.
-Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and help to lower cost and secure agreements.
-Prepare purchase requisitions, approve and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
-Maintain procurement files, as well tracking purchasing activity and measurements.
-Enter vendor invoices to ensure accurate and timely payment, and work with Accounts Payable Department to ensure vendor accounts are current.
-Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
