Pattillo, Brown & Hill, L.L.P. is currently seeking a Tax Senior to join our team in our Temple, Texas firm! We are searching for a new team member who possesses a client forward mindset and positive attitude. The ideal candidate will oversee monthly financial reporting including bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance in QuickBooks, as well as annual tax preparation for multiple types of entities to federal, state and local taxing jurisdictions. Additional duties will include payroll processing & reporting and sales tax reporting. Characteristics key to success include: 

·        Knowledge and understanding of the firm's policies and procedures
·        Strong managerial skills, positive attitude, and the ability to multitask
·        Prepare and review 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040 income tax returns
·        Prepare and review 990 Non-Profit Tax Returns
·        Monthly payroll, bookkeeping and associated quarterly 941s knowledge 
·        Year End W-2, 1099’s and related reporting knowledge required 
·        Ability to train and instruct staff if needed
·        Ability to engage with tax agencies
·        Possess a working knowledge of firm technology, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and firm software
·        Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by partners
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
·        Five years of tax or accounting experience 
·        CPA eligible
·        Experience with current computer accounting programs
·        Detail and deadline oriented
·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION
College undergraduate degree and have completed at least 30 hours in college-level accounting courses.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
