Schedule:
On School days- Start times are mostly between 3:00 pm-6:00 pm. Classes are 60 minutes long and meet once a week. You can be scheduled for as many of these classes as your availability allows. Teachers are also compensated for ample preparation time for each class to prepare supplies. Teachers may be scheduled for multiple classes in a row if teaching at our learning center. Classes are held at elementary schools throughout Summerlin, southwest, and Seven Hills, as well as our Learning Center. Reliable transportation is a must! This job provides 20 hours per week maximum during regular classes. Any hours beyond those will come from holiday camps.
Optional Holiday camp hours- We schedule teachers in advance based on their availability and black-out dates they share with us at the beginning of the season. Teachers can be scheduled for Whole day camps (8:30 am to 4:30 pm), half day camps (end or begin at 12:30 pm), or occasional workshops/subbing. Teachers also get paid preparation time for each camp they are leading. Most camps are held at our Learning Center.

Payroll is every two weeks. Training/Assistant rate: $12/hour. Lead Teacher rate starts at: $15/hour.

Lead hands-on engineering and technology projects for students aged 4-14 to inspire problem-solving skills, collaboration, and creativity. Teacher to student ratio is 1:14 at most (1:6 for Prek-1st graders). Curriculum and all supplies are provided. Online training materials and on the job training are provided, and supervisors are available to help teachers prepare for their camps as needed.

Aerospace, civil, chemical, or electrical engineering (among many other fields), Engineering in Minecraft, robotics, video game design, JavaScript Coding. As long as you remember some of your high school physics and are comfortable using a computer, we can train you on the rest!

Compensation: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
