Full Job Description

The HVAC Technician's job is to operate, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment necessary for the building's operation.

Performs diversified installation, operation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair duties involving heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration and related control systems throughout the facility.
Receives work orders and coordinates work to fit daily schedule assigned by supervisor.
Maintains the facility HVAC control systems according to state and local facility regulatory agencies.
Works with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
Responsible for daily heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration work performed within the department.
Makes daily rounds of building and related equipment as assigned by supervisor.
Reports any complication on specific jobs or equipment to Supervisor. Responds to emergency situations throughout the facility.

Job Requirements

High School Diploma required. Specialized (1 year of training beyond high school) required.
Minimum of five (3) years’ experience required.
Universal Recovery License required.
Basic knowledge of the u se tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
