- Report to and communicate directly with Aquatics Manager
- Conduct classes in a fun and gentle environment, following current teaching methods, policies, and safety and emergency procedures as detailed in the British Swim School training manual or directed by the Aquatics Manager
- Our Swim Instructors also cross-train as Deck Ambassadors to help represent and be the greeters and friendly face of our program. Customer service skills and a desire to work with people are a must!
- Attend staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching
- Part-time position with afternoon/evening shifts on weekdays and morning or afternoon shifts on weekends
- Be correctly dressed in British Swim School uniform and prepared poolside at least 30 minutes before the start of your first lesson
- Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and stand in the water for up to 4 consecutive hours
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Manager / Owner
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enthusiastic, energetic personality with strong relationship and customer service skills
- LOVES working with kids!
- Comfortable in and around the water. Strong swimming skills are a plus but can be taught and developed!
- Ability to complete British Swim School Swim Instructor training and testing
- Available to work across two or more of our Salt Lake area locations (Sandy, West Valley, and more coming soon!)
- Experience working with children
- Swimming experience: 1-2 years but not required!
- Customer service experience: 1+ year preferred
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (can be obtained post-hire)
