Mosquito Authority® of Northern Colorado is seeking both full-time and part-time seasonal Mosquito Control Technicians. Technicians conduct property inspections for signs of pests or infestation, determine the scope of treatment, and apply pesticides. Applicators must be knowledgeable and have excellent communication skills to educate consumers about an integrated pest control program including pesticide applications and source reduction methods.

Technicians will be trained to follow all applicable state and federal laws and regulations and work under the supervision of a Qualified Supervisor. Company truck, uniform, equipment, and study material and fees related to pest control licensing and certification will be provided by the employer. Current licensed pest control professionals encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States and available to work weekends.
Applicant must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read and write English, have excellent oral communication skills, understand pesticide labels, and follow detailed instructions.
Offers of employment subject to the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
Employees who are assigned to operate company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and meet insurance underwriting requirements.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds and bend, squat, and walk with a backpack sprayer for extended periods of time.
Knowledge of basic principles, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations related to pesticide applications including methods, equipment, chemicals and safety measures. Ability to calculate application mix ratios in accordance with pesticide labels.
Ability to identify environmental conditions appropriate for pesticide applications.
Applicant must be able to pass the certified applicator exam offered by the State of Colorado
A background check will be performed prior to hiring.

Duties:

Ensure daily work schedule assigned runs smoothly and is completed in an efficient manner.
Conduct property inspections for signs of pests or infestation, determine the scope of treatment, and apply pesticides per label instructions and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate written and electronic documentation of pesticide applications.
Respond to customer service requests in a cheerful and timely manner. Address customer questions and concerns courteously while providing accurate and reliable information.
Ensure company vehicles are clean and properly maintained. Report all accidents, damage, and malfunctions immediately.
Perform basic equipment maintenance and mix fuel in accordance with approved procedures to ensure proper equipment operation.
Attend and participate in scheduled training sessions as required.

Wages, Benefits and Hours:
Pay starting at $19 per hour depending on experience. Additional performance-based compensation and commission opportunities available and expected.

These are seasonal/temporary positions and will last from approximately April 15, 2024 and ending approximately October 1, 2024.

The main office for Mosquito Authority®, Northern Colorado is located in Loveland, CO; however, we have applicators based throughout Northern Colorado including: Fort Collins, Greeley-Evans, Longmont, Loveland- Berthoud, etc.

Compensation: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
