Mosquito Authority® of Northern Colorado is seeking both full-time and part-time seasonal Mosquito Control Technicians. Requirements:
- Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States and available to work weekends.
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read and write English, have excellent oral communication skills, understand pesticide labels, and follow detailed instructions.
- Offers of employment subject to the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.
- Employees who are assigned to operate company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and meet insurance underwriting requirements.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds and bend, squat, and walk with a backpack sprayer for extended periods of time.
- Knowledge of basic principles, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations related to pesticide applications including methods, equipment, chemicals and safety measures. Ability to calculate application mix ratios in accordance with pesticide labels.
- Ability to identify environmental conditions appropriate for pesticide applications.
- Applicant must be able to pass the certified applicator exam offered by the State of Colorado
- A background check will be performed prior to hiring.
- Ensure daily work schedule assigned runs smoothly and is completed in an efficient manner.
- Conduct property inspections for signs of pests or infestation, determine the scope of treatment, and apply pesticides per label instructions and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate written and electronic documentation of pesticide applications.
- Respond to customer service requests in a cheerful and timely manner. Address customer questions and concerns courteously while providing accurate and reliable information.
- Ensure company vehicles are clean and properly maintained. Report all accidents, damage, and malfunctions immediately.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and mix fuel in accordance with approved procedures to ensure proper equipment operation.
Attend and participate in scheduled training sessions as required.
Pay starting at $19 per hour depending on experience. Additional performance-based compensation and commission opportunities available and expected.
These are seasonal/temporary positions and will last from approximately April 15, 2024 and ending approximately October 1, 2024.
