Porter / Yard Staff

Detroit area towing company is looking for Yard Porter for full-time or part-time shifts. Porters are responsible for releasing impounds, retrieving customer information from customer vehicles and maintaining property grounds. Available to weekends and holidays is a plus. Vehicle mechanical background & Hi Lo experience is a plus.
JOB DUTIES
JOB DUTIES
- Release impounds at the request of office staff
- Retrieve registration, insurance etc. from impounded vehicles per request of the office
- Escorting vehicle owner only to their vehicle per office staff request to retrieve items out of their vehicles or to view only (following office staff
instructions)
- Escorting insurance adjusters to view vehicles
- Park, take pictures & turn in impound cards to the office for incoming impounds when drivers are busy.
- Clean & sweep floors
- Clean all debris in the impound yard & front of building
- Wash tow trucks in & out
- Clean resale vehicles in & out (if requested)
- Inventory impounded vehicles
- Assist setting up auctions
- Snow Removal snow
Compensation: $14.00 per hour
