Seeking applicants for the position of Kitchen Manager. The successful applicant will be well versed in standard kitchen procedures and the running of professional and high-volume kitchen and be an adept leader and communicator.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Follow recipes and produce consistent products,
- Knowledge of inventory, product rotation, seasonal products.
- Train, assign, and monitor kitchen staff for quality of work.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen,
- Ensure kitchen staff complies with all applicable health codes, food prep and storage guidelines, sanitation regulations, and safety procedures,
- Keep kitchen motivated leading daily and weekly meetings.
- Ensure all products ordered to-go meet Happy Day's high standards for taste and presentation.
- Be conscious of costs, inventory control, and waste reduction,
- Understanding your labor per hour, forecasting labor, making needed adjustments to meet goals assigned.
- Scheduling personnel
- Work with Marketing on future products, photos, ad campaigns,
- Ability to make job aides visual and line item to keep consistency in our operations.
- Keeping a positive and motivating spirit that will create and inspire and develop our teams.
- Create new items for menu, First Fridays, Holiday specials.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to adhere to Happy Day Restaurants standards of excellence.
- High familiarity with food preparation, current culinary trends, and presentation styles
- Highly organized and detail-oriented. Be resourceful, creative, and able to quickly formulate solutions
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task. Respond calmly in stressful situations.
- Computer literate, Word, Excel, Toast, Vendor ordering platforms
- Access to reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule (as schedule varies by events booked)
- 7 years of professional kitchen experience
- 3 years of supervisory or management experience
- SERV Safe manager certification is required, along with WA State Food Handler card within 14 days of hire.
