Position Overview

Successful State Farm Agent is seeking a qualified or aspiring professional to join their winning team for the role of Account Associate - State Farm Agent Team Member. We seek an energetic professional interested in advancing their insurance and financial career through value-based conversations and remarkable customer experience. The Account Associate position is an entry level sales position within our agency focused on creating new customer accounts. If you have 6+ months of experience with insurance and can perform a financial review, you will likely be eligible for the Account Representative Position ($10,000 higher salary). Account Associates normally transition to Account representatives in 6-12 months. This is a SALES position, but your pay is largely based on EFFORT (I can train you to sell, but most people in sales only close 10% of the time so you have to put in the effort to be great).

Schedule
4 weekdays 7am-6pm.

Dresscode:
Darkwash Jeans or Khakis and a State Farm shirt (provided)

Responsibilities

  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
  • Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing and sales goals through calls, referrals, events, and appointments.
  • Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
As an Agent Team Member, you will receive...

  • Group Life Insurance Benefits
  • $30,000 Base Salary ($1000 Tenure raises each year)
  • Activity based monthly commission/bonus to reward exceeding minimum expectations of calls, quotes, and marketing efforts; NOT capped
  • Health benefits (100% employer paid health and dental)
  • Paid time off (96-240 hours each year based on tenure; can be used for personal or sick; ability to earn additional hours each week based on meeting expectations up to 416 hours/year) and cash out privileges.
  • Paid Holidays (Birthday, New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas; other paid off days added at agent's discretion)
  • Growth potential/Opportunity for advancement within my agency (this is a Tier 5 position in our agency; you can advance within our agency or receive coaching on owning your own agency).
  • 401k/Roth with Employer match up to 3.5%
  • Annual Bonus (March) based on the Agency's performance in the previous year (Shared Team bonus)
Requirements
  • Alabama Property & Casualty Insurance Producer License, Alabama Life & Health insurance producer license (must have prior to starting; weeklong class and state test. Visit ALDOI.GOV for more information)
  • Ability to communicate the State Farm value and review quotes with potential customers
  • Achieve mutually agreed upon activity goals (sales activity that is 100% in your control) to drive new business
  • Act ethically in your actions with customers, your peers, and the agency (we have a 0% tolerance for unethical behavior)
  • Enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams
  • Be committed to learning and growing; you will be challenged, encouraged, and given the resources to be better today than you were yesterday. If you have a history of complacency, you will not enjoy our team culture.
If you are motivated to succeed and can see yourself in this role, please complete our application. We will follow up with you on the next steps in the interview process.
