Job Summary:

The Purchasing Coordinator will oversee the purchasing function of the apparel and promotional products company. This position will be responsible for managing the company's procurement process, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and negotiating contracts with suppliers. The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with other departments to ensure that the company has the resources it needs to meet its production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to ensure the procurement process is efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the company receives the best value for its purchases.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms and conditions for the company.
- Manage the purchase order process and monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing purchasing trends, monitoring market conditions, and conducting supplier audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and ensure that the company has the resources it needs to meet its production goals.
- Develop and maintain a supplier scorecard to measure and evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Lead and manage a team of purchasing professionals, including setting performance goals, providing coaching and feedback, and facilitating professional development.

Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement and purchasing, preferably in the apparel and promotional products industry.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to achieve cost savings and other value-added benefits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of purchasing professionals, including setting performance goals and facilitating professional development.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
