Compensation & Earning Potential:
- Total annual earnings commonly reach $75,000
- Typical starting hourly range: $20–$25/hour, based on experience, trade proficiency, and overall qualifications
- Compensation may be adjusted for candidates with advanced skill sets and leadership experience.
- Overtime, on-call rotation, storm deployment, and extended-hour assignments significantly increase total earnings
- Compensation reflects experience, production capability, and the ability to operate independently on complex restoration projects

Position Summary:
Showalter Construction & Restoration LLC (SCR) is seeking an experienced Reconstruction Technician to support large-scale residential and commercial restoration projects resulting from water, fire, mold, and storm losses.

This position plays a critical role in executing reconstruction scopes on complex, high-value projects that require professionalism, technical skill, and adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate has a strong multi-trade background and experience working in structured, production-driven environments.
Core Trade Expertise:

- Proven experience performing carpentry and structural repairs
- Drywall systems, interior/exterior painting, flooring installation
- Kitchen and bathroom reconstruction
- Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
- Restoration or insurance-driven construction experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute demolition, repair, and reconstruction work on large-loss and/or complex restoration projects
- Perform work in accordance with approved scopes, building codes, and company quality standards
- Support emergency response operations and time-sensitive restorations as required
- Assist with mitigation activities related to water, fire, and mold losses when needed
- Maintain job-site safety, cleanliness, and professionalism at all times
- Ensure tools, trailers, equipment, and materials are maintained and job-ready
- Participate in on-call rotation, nights, weekends, and extended hours as operational demands require
- Deploy for regional or out-of-area catastrophe events when needed
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment
- Maintain consistent productivity in a 40–50+ hour work environment
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of residential and commercial remodeling experience
- Advanced understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and building codes
- Ability to read and write fluently in English
- High school diploma or GED required
- Industry certifications (IICRC or related) are a plus
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and professionalism
- Must be willing to undergo a background check
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to perform medium to heavy labor, including lifting 75–100 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders up to 40’ and work in elevated or confined spaces
- Ability to work in environments affected by fire, water, mold, or storm damage
- Comfort working in active construction and disaster-response environments
