ASP of Central Houston has immediate opportunities for an experienced Swimming Pool Service Technician (Pool Service & Installation Technician) to join our growing team of swimming pool professionals. Location: Central Houston (Main Office in Heights Area)
Compensation: $20-26/hour

Our Pool Service Technician position is responsible for installing and servicing pool equipment for residential and commercial pools. Duties can involve diagnosing equipment issues, successfully communicating solutions to the customer, and implementing the preferred solution in a quality and efficient manner. The ideal candidate for our Pool Service Technician will have experience with installation and repair work involving electrical components and PVC plumbing/fittings, love to work outdoors, be a self-starter, and be able to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision. A Pool Service Technician (Pool Service & Installation Technician) at ASP Central Houston will:

Enjoy working outdoors, particularly in Houston’s varying conditions.
Thrive in an environment where they are actively problem solving.
Install and/or repair pool pumps, heaters, filters, timers, pool cleaners, blowers, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing, copper plumbing, and galvanized plumbing.
Have knowledge of 110 volt and 220 volt electrical equipment.
Be able to maintain an inventory of equipment on the truck and properly utilize and replenish the inventory when needed.
Be able to utilize a smartphone for our Pool Ops mobile platform.
Be observant and knowledgeable to see service opportunities outside of the repair call, such as upgrading other equipment or adding to the customer experience with other products.
Work safely at all times.
Work with renovation personnel to coordinate related duties.
If capable, handle small repairs/replacement of tiles, deck texture/seal, pavers install/repair (preferred but not required).
Participate in or complete other tasks as needed by the ASP Central Houston team.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
Maintain or desire to acquire the Residential Appliance Installer License (R.A.I.L) in TX
Smartphone (stipend provided)
Agree to a background check and drug screen
High-school diploma or equivalent
Certified Pool Operator License is valued but not required
