The Ice Manager on Duty is responsible for managing any guest questions, concerns, or situations. Ensure the quality of service, overall operation, and appropriate facility standards according to the Ice Den expectations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all entities of the Ice Den are operating in accordance with the customer expectations.
- Cross training in all areas of the facility to gain knowledge and understanding of each entity and their relation to the total operation of the Ice Den. The MOD must be prepared to assist any department within the facility.
- Provide superior customer service in a timely, professional and courteous manner as outlined by the Ice Den customer service standards.
- Use the MOD Critical Eye Checklist to ensure a clean professional facility at all times. Direct appropriate personnel to handle any problems.
- Log Daily Activities electronically in MOD Notes.
- Inventory all cash tills and safe daily.
- Inventory first aid kits on a regular basis.
- Assist Ice Maintenance Coordinator with the upkeep and work orders of facility and equipment as necessary. Submit Work Orders.
- Notify appropriate department of messages and issues that arise during your shift.
- Enforce all rules of the ice and guidelines, taking appropriate action where indicated and report any problems to the Operations Manager/Team Leader.
- Continually establishing relationships with Ice Den customers and requesting feedback about our current programs, classes and operations.
- Respond and react to any emergency situation. Use incident reports appropriately. Use Workman’s Comp form appropriately.
- Ensure security of Ice Den by locking and arming each door at the end of shift.
- Read and initial TCB at the beginning and ending of every shift.
- Attend Mandatory Staff meetings.
- Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance, by wearing the MVP Sports Clubs uniform (see uniform matrix) and name badge.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- College degree/work experience in related field preferred. High school degree or GED required.
- Previous work or management experience with a multi-purpose sports facility required.
- Common knowledge of all applicable safety standards for public sports facilities.
- Customer service skills to handle challenging situations.
- Ability to maintain accurate and complete records, including the accounting of collected revenues.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and functions while maintaining a low personal stress level.
- CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; Lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; See, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.
