As an Account Representative at Elena Pleshakov Insurance and Financial Services Agency, you’ll be the trusted, friendly point of contact for our multilingual, community-focused agency. As an Account Representative at Elena Pleshakov Insurance and Financial Services Agency, you’ll be the trusted, friendly point of contact for our multilingual, community-focused agency. We proudly serve a diverse client base, with many clients who speak Russian, Ukrainian, and English — including immigrants from Slavic countries who rely on us for clear, caring guidance during life’s most important transitions.
In this hybrid role, you will not be the primary contact for sales, but instead will focus on building meaningful relationships within our community and with local partners.
You’ll meet with customers and partners, explain the full range of State Farm insurance products in simple terms, and provide exceptional customer support. You’ll represent our agency at community events and help ensure every client feels heard, understood, and supported. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with customers and partners.
- Handle customer support needs including calls, documents, and follow-up.
- Communicate effectively with the office team to ensure smooth customer experiences.
- Represent the agency at community events and meetings.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all insurance regulations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Russian (required).
- Valid Property and Casualty Insurance License in Oregon (required) to ensure compliance when explaining products.
- Comfortable building relationships and representing the agency in the community.
- Charisma, sociability, and genuine enthusiasm for helping people.
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills; able to explain complex topics simply.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to different outreach settings.
- Basic proficiency with office software; CRM experience is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and be comfortable with local travel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct reports.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed partly in a professional office setting and partly off-site in the Portland/Vancouver area. The role includes moderate noise levels and regular use of computers and phones.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequently required to sit, stand, and use a computer.
- Must be able to drive locally to client meetings and community events.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 15 lbs.
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Some evening or weekend work may be required for community events or client meetings.
TRAVEL:
Up to 30% local travel within the Portland/Vancouver area for meetings and events.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Valid Property and Casualty Insurance License in Oregon (required).
- Previous experience in a client-facing service or support role preferred.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Russian required.
UNION ELIGIBILITY:
This position is not represented by a union.
CONTRACTOR:
This is a W-2 employee position; not classified as a contractor.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- U.S. work authorization required.
- Successful completion of a background check required upon offer.
