- Observe children’s interests and work with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum
- Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions
- High school diploma (required)
- 1-2 years of previous childcare center, summer camp, or school-age care experience (preferred)
- CDA, Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field with 12 credits of Early Childhood Education (required)
- Show empathy and compassion for young children (required)
- Dependable and adaptable; enjoy working together toward a common goal (required)
- Good written and verbal communication skills for preparing daily reports and interfacing with parents (required)
- Able to develop good relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members (required)
- Willing and able to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations (required)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for programs, child safety, and emergency situations. Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib (required)
