Title: Dispatcher
Reports to: Owner/Director of Operations
Job Description: Dispatch Ambulette vans to transport non-emergency medical clients to their scheduled appointments using phone based technologies and online software programs.
Requirement for Employment: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task with superior organizational skills.Excellent communication skills. Ability to listen, speak plainly and be assertive. Proficient using telecommunication equipment, computer literate, possess sound judgement and critical thinking.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods.
Work Environment: Office environment with a shared work space. team approach to work. Cross train with customer service and billing.
Area of Responsibility: Responsible for receiving calls, record significant information. Contact Drivers, schedule, assign and dispatch assignments to Drivers. Monitor the route and status of vehicles to appropriate locations.
Documentation: Enter data in computer systems and written logs, record calls, transports and other information.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional company image and respect of others. Demonstrates ability to identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts when they occur with co-workers and clients.
Customer Service: Maintain a calm and professional attitude. Exhibit quality, positive interactions with clients, facility staff and community. Maintain client confidentiality by following HIPAA rules and regulations.
