Warehouse Personnel

Job Description

Ocean Wine and Spirits is looking for an effective Warehouse Personnel to direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. Warehouse Personnel will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products.

Warehouse Personnel should be able to ensure productivity and quarterly inventory targets are achieved. All warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Responsibilities

Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
Manage stock control and reconcile with Light Speed data inventory system.
Liaise with, upper management store managers and store teams to coordinate product deliveries.
Plan and assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc).
Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

Requirements and skills

Proven work experience as a Warehouse Personnel for minimum of 5 years.
Expertise in Warehouse Personnel procedures and best practices.
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and written skills.
Ability to repetitively lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to repetitively push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to exert oneself physically over sustained periods of time to complete job activities.
Ability to stand a minimum of 8 hours during the workday up to 10 hours.
Required Drug Test and random drug test.
Valid driver License.
Required background check.

Schedule

· Day shifts, Monday through Friday.

· 8 hours or more when needed.

· 40-hour work week.

· Weekends may be required during events, holidays, or blackout dates.
