What will you be doing day to day?
Proficiency in installing complex systems, installing projection & audio systems, networking, security and surveillance systems, and some light control system programming experience preferred.
Experience with construction and design/build industry.
Capability to work in an active, fast-paced environment, which requires a high-energy, self-motivated individual with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts, technologies, and installation methods.
Attention to detail, job-site cleanliness, and safety.
A clean criminal background and driving record will be confirmed.
CEDIA Level I or II Installer certification is preferred.
Travel 10 - 15% of the time.
Installation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating, and testing Cat 6, RG6, HDMI, RCA, Speaker cables 8 Ohm and 70Volt
Installation of all AV equipment including audio and video equipment, distributed audio, control systems (Contro4 & Savant)
Installation of Security Systems
Installation of Surveillance Cameras, NVR's
Wall mounting of TV's
Assisting in making sure project deliverables and milestones are met including close out documentation and punch list items
Communicate with project managers on personnel performance issues
Follow all safety guidelines and client requirements
Qualifications
2 years or more of verifiable experience as a full-time residential Audio-Visual Technician.
Experience working on construction sites and with hand tools
Knowledge of Residential AV equipment
Ability to troubleshoot Networks and AV equipment
Ability to think and work independently
Wiring and termination skills as well as proper installation techniques of all AV equipment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Experience in reading/understanding architecture, electrical, structural & AV systems drawings
A teachable disposition and a willing attitude toward continuing education
Flexibility to work outside the job description when the need arises
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Analytical and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
Deductive reasoning skills
PC and Network knowledge
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer)
Self-starter with keen attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Possible out-of-town projects requiring hotel/multiple overnight trips (Travel 10 - 15% of the time).
Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screenings
