Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Yard/Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you are the backbone of our customer experience, ensuring that inventory is handled with care and orders are fulfilled accurately. You will support warehouse operations by receiving shipments, organizing high-end masonry and landscape inventory, and loading/unloading our valued contractor and homeowner clients.
The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who enjoys working outdoors and has experience operating heavy equipment like forklifts and skid steers.
Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Pull stock accurately to fulfill and prepare orders for shipping or customer pickup.
- Customer Interaction: Load and unload customer vehicles with a high level of professionalism and care.
- Shipping & Receiving: Process incoming shipments in a neat, organized fashion and inspect goods for any damages, defects, or errors.
- Documentation: Accurately handle paperwork, including BOLs, shipping tickets, and packing slips.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory counts, reorganize and stack pallets, and break down orders based on weight and material type.
- Multi-Site Support: Assist at our second yard location as needed.
-
Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or yard setting is preferred.
- Equipment: Proven ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and skid steers (pallet jack and hand truck experience is a plus). [Will Train]
- Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects (stone, brick, and bags of material) consistently throughout the day.
- Mindset: Ability to work with limited supervision while maintaining excellent organizational and time management skills.
-
Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Why Join Us?
- Stable Schedule: Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with your weekends off.
- Family Atmosphere: Work for a local, family-owned business where you are a valued member of the team, not just a number.
- Outdoor Work: Perfect for those who prefer an active work environment over a desk job.
-
After 60-Days: Benefits-Health Insurance Premium 100% covered by employer.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
