We're hiring for a full-time manager of our swim schools, and a leader for our fun and growing team! At SafeSplash, we believe swimming is a life skill®. Therefore, we approach each one of our swim lessons with great skill, passion and individual attention. Our curriculum has been developed by a team of world-class swimmers with over 30 years of teaching experience. We have the most up-to-date swimming technique to teach students how to swim the correct way right from the beginning! In addition to teaching water safety to every swimmer, our goal is to teach confidence in the water that will translate to all parts of your swimmer's life.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000/year depending on experience

Position Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be a confident swimmer.
- Must be confident and comfortable working with children.
- Preferable but not required to have experience as a swim instructor or working with children.
- Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs.
- Training in the SafeSplash® curriculum will be provided.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds in weight.

Job Description:
Drive successful SafeSplash business through excellence in overall management of the location with emphasis on business operations, employee management, marketing, retail, and business development including community outreach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Business Operations –works closely with the location owner to set up and maintain location policies and procedures within the SwimLabs Franchise structure. In charge of the scheduling software including the overall operational schedule of the business and all staff schedules. Responsible for monitoring expenses and revenues.
- Employee Management –Maintains staff by recruiting, hiring, orienting, scheduling, and training employees; ongoing management of staff; maintain a safe and secure work environment; develop a positive work culture that encourages employee growth
- Works closely with the owners to accomplish these goals on the swim side of the business
- Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; reviewing and appraising job results with regular evaluations; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Customer Relations – Ultimately responsible for the customer experience at SafeSplash. Must maintain quality customer service by enforcing high customer service standards amongst all employees. Analyze and resolve customer service problems, identify trends, developing and implementing improvement strategies. Making calls and emails to customers as needed to ensure best experience for the swimmer.
Marketing– Responsible for on-site marketing efforts. Works closely with the owners to coordinate on-site promotion with digital marketing campaigns. Manages local grassroots efforts and community outreach to local programs.
Retail – Responsible for location retail including managing inventory levels, ordering, and sales.
Business Development – Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications and Requirements:
- 2 years experience in leadership position and managing team members
- Experience in swim or aquatics environment, such as swim coach, swim instructor, or deck supervisor
- Extensive experience in using spreadsheets and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
- Experience with computer scheduling software (preferred) or ability to quickly adopt new apps and technology
- Detail-oriented: pays attention to everything, is able to troubleshoot, and make decisions
- A Team-driven leader: cares about staff and leads with the intent to build up the whole team
- Exceptional guest relations and communication skills
- Outstanding multi-tasking abilities: able to handle, and coordinate multiple schedules; keep swim instructors and clients on time; answer up to 3 phone lines; check people in and out - simultaneously
- Preferred Skills/Certifications:
- Current Red Cross Lifeguard or equivalent
- WSI - Water Safety Instructor certification
