Bethesda Systems is a locally owned and operated Custom Integration company based in Bethesda, MD.  We specialize in A/V, lighting, shades and electrical projects.  We are looking for a highly motivated, professional and organized person with great attention to detail to join the Bethesda Systems team.

Reports to: Internal Operations Manager
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all receiving and warehouse management. They will report directly to the Internal Operations Manager and works closely with the Procurement Manager and Project Managers to determine what needs to be ordered at certain stages of projects.
 
Roles:
  • Working closely with the Procurement Manager and Project Managers closely with the to determine job-specific needs.
  • Receiving all product that has been ordered and shipped through FedEx, UPS, USPS, and all TL/LTL and other couriers.
  • Maintaining the warehouse's cleanliness and product placement. This means having all product that has been received placed in appropriate project staging areas for ease of access and delivery on project deployment. (i.e. Rough/Trim/Finish/Punch/Service)
  • Utilizing iPoint to track, ship and receive in product (training will be provided) on a real-time basis
  • Maintaining vendor relationships through effective communication and handling shipment disputes in a reasonable manner.
  • Managing UTour (a special client) product and shipping
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all product is ready to go for the next day on the day prior.
  • Maintain and managing a clean, safe working environment for both warehouses (in office and off-site) and the conference room, as well as their office and desk.
  • Forecast product needs by looking at upcoming projects on a 10-business day cycle.
  • Staging items for existing projects and ensuring allocated inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate recycling needs for faulty equipment as well as recyclables. 
  • Communicate with the appropriate personnel to find out what is needed for certain stages of a project.
  • Maintain adequate levels of stock items for quick turn-around projects and in the event, something was overlooked during purchasing/deployment.
  • Ensure the product pick list is completed post-purchasing and pre-deployment.
  • Shipping, communicating and managing UTour product packages (may include running to UPS to ship out boxes if regular pickup has already come for the day)
  • Verifying received shipments in against POs to ensure all quantities and product is accurate 
  • Report daily to Internal Operations Manager and Procurement Manager what deliveries were received in
  • Monitoring shipping times on open POs and updating appropriate departments as to scheduled delivery dates/backorders/delays
  • Completing Quarterly and Year-End inventory stock counts and maintaining an accurate inventory throughout the year
  • Working directly with Procurement, Design, Sales and Scheduling departments to ensure products have been ordered and received prior to scheduling.  This includes, but it not limited to, equipment, racks and associated materials.
 

Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse/operations positions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Great relationship management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Extremely effective time-management skills.
  • Mental capacity to handle pressure.
  • Ability to work on your feet 40-50% of your day.
  • Capability to lift up to 100-pound items, as needed.
  • Prior knowledge or ability to quickly learn the operations of our phone system, Slack, the Windows Office Suite and iPoint/additional software used to maintain shipping/receiving/inventory (training will be provided)
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
