Veterinary Receptionist

Dongan Hills Veterinary Practice has been dedicated to providing the best possible care for our clients and their pets since 1986. We are a two doctor practice seeing appointments from 9am to 8 pm Monday-Friday and 8:30am to 3 pm on Saturday while also seeing emergencies after hours and overnight. We are an AAHA accredited animal hospital, fully equipped with in-house blood analyzers, surgical laser, ultrasound, digital and dental radiology, and therapeutic laser. We offer 24 hour care at our facility with an employee in our hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We are currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist which is a cross-trained position. We need someone qualified to be able to work in both positions. Customer service experience is highly valued, preferably in the health care industry. The successful candidate will have solid communication skills, and team orientation.

Responsibilities:

Telephone work, computer work, client & patient contact, and a very high attention to detail. The main purpose of the Veterinary Assistant portion is to assist veterinarians with patient care and treatment, monitor patient flow, prepare occasional prescriptions and educate clients regarding veterinary care and procedures.

Part-time and Full Time openings include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

• A team player who is able to work independently and be responsible for assigned tasks.
• The ability to pass a professional background screening and drug screening
• A clean driving record
• Preferred Education: 2 Year Degree
