What does the Accounting Manager with Paul Davis do?
  • Manage all phases of job costing within RMS and QuickBooks Accounting Software
  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the franchise as needed when the owner is not available
  • Maintain all accounting, computer and financial records for franchise in conjunction with a CPA
  • Be empathetic and show a sense of urgency while communicating through modern technology

Compensation and Benefits:

Qualifications (Requirements):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.  CPA, CMA, CFA or MBA or Masters in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a lead/senior accountant/manager role in construction accounting.  Restoration industry experience is a plus
  • 3+ years of previous payroll experience
  • Proficient with Quick Books, Paylocity or ADP and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrates high level of attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Military experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Fluent in English
 
Role on the Team (Job Responsibilities):
  • Oversee all day-to-day management of accounting area for all functions, including: procurement, finance, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, and month end close
  • Ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including assisting with the preparation of internal monthly financial statements to include: balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and WIP schedule
  • Oversee the payroll process on a weekly basis
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts
  • Establish and maintain systems and internal controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data
  • Monitor actual expenses and assist management in developing, recommending, and implementing corrective action to ensure results of the operations are in line with the operating budget
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for the balance sheet and assigned departments
  • Perform financial analysis and prepare reports that provide detailed cost information to local and corporate management
  • Working with operations teams, create and maintain activity based costing system for assigned departments
  • Additional responsibilities include maintenance of accounting files, and preparation/organization of various financial forms, reports, and financial analyses, etc.
  • Recruit, develop and lead an accounting staff
  • Request and maintain updated Workplace Safety certificates & insurance coverage for subcontractors
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and general office support tasks when necessary
