Summary
Under the supervision of a Crew Chief and/or Mitigation Manager, this position is responsible for responding to jobs involving water and/or fire damage to properties. The role includes supporting damage tear-out, debris removal, contents removal and area cleaning.

Essential Job Functions
  • Cut, bag, and lift bags of damaged drywall, carpet, pad, and assorted debris.
  • Move heavy equipment in and out of vehicles and into buildings where it is needed.
  • Move contents safely into secured storage.
  • Source materials & equipment needed on job sites, as requested by Crew Chiefs.
  • Assist in cleaning job sites and equipment after demolition has been completed.
  • Understand the importance of proper PPE usage in a variety of circumstances.
  • Participates in a regularly scheduled on-call rotation, and is often required to provide on-call support as weather events and emergencies arise.
  • Able to work around a variety of approved chemicals without any adverse reaction or sensitivity.
  • Follows established safety practices including the proper use of PPE when required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must clear a criminal background check.

  • Ability to use and maintain hand, power, and truck-mounted tools.  
  • Ability to develop, learn, and properly apply operating and work procedures.  
  • Ability to plan and organize work.
  • Ability to read and interpret written and/or oral instructions.

  • Ability to meet predetermined deadlines.
  • Ability to safely move and relocate heavy objects. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours or shifts.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with employees, contractors/vendors, outside agencies, and the public. 
  • Ability to recognize and report hazards and apply safe work methods.
Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
