Meet our Clients
Our clients are the reason why we do what we do. Dignity Living is predicated on the principles of normalization as measured by residents' participation in a variety of integrated, age-appropriate activities which take place in natural environments, at home, at work, in the community and during leisure time. Our goal for our clients and their loved ones is to provide the level of care that exceeds expectations.
PHILOSOPHY/GOALS
Community-based care and supervision services and support programs are recognized as providing the least restrictive and most conducive environments for individuals with developmentally disabilities.
The program of Dignity Living is designed for a Level 4 residential care home (Redwood) for four (4) non-ambulatory & ambulatory adult’s male/female with developmental disabilities who require care, supervision, incidental training and help with significant deficits in self-care skills, limitations in physical coordination/mobility, and disruptive or self-injurious behavior. The program is predicated on the principals on normalization as measured by consumer participation in a variety of integrated, age-appropriate activities which take place in natural environments, at home, at work, in the community and during leisure time.
Our primary goal is for each individual to develop and attain their potential in terms of self-help, and basic social skills, so that he/she can participate in mainstream society.
This will be achieved by teaching, training and motivating consumers to be self-reliant, building their confidence and self-esteem, teaching them how to cope with stress and
supervision designed to enable them to function at the highest physical, intellectual, social and emotional levels possible. All consumers will be encouraged to be a part of the program’s activities.
Dignity Living, will provide its services and access other supports in a natural, safe environment. Our program will support the residents’ culture uniqueness. All activities at the facility will reflect awareness of and sensitivity to the lifestyle and cultural background of the consumers, and their families and friends.
The facility will promote natural relationships through strengthening partnerships among service providers and the consumers, their families, friends, regional centers, and other community resources, recognizing and valuing interdependence in achieving quality outcomes for all.
Success of the program depends on the effective collaboration with our consumers and their families, the regional center staff, other service providers, and the broader community.
The facility is located in a residential neighborhood of Corona, and is close to shopping malls, bus routes, parks and other community services. Environmental adaptations to accommodate the special requirements of consumers will be provided.
