Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Long-Term Care (LTC) facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents within our long-term care setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering personalized care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents under established care plans and policies.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor residents' vital signs, and observe and report any changes in condition promptly.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding
Education and Support:
- Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding healthcare needs, treatment plans, and community resources.
- Foster a supportive and therapeutic environment conducive to residents' well-being and independence.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality.
Working Conditions:
- Work shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.
- Exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and hazardous materials may occur.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting residents with mobility.
