Job Summary

This position is responsible to provide operational support in remediation efforts for client content. Main functions will include performing tasks related to contents cleaning, deodorizing, manipulation, and storage. This position will be required to use a variety of specialized equipment and cleaning chemicals under supervision.

Responsibilities

Maintaining equipment used in daily tasks
Safely and efficiently load, unload, and transport furniture, appliances, and other contents from one location to another while ensuring items are secure, safe, and free of damage
Correctly wrap and package contents to prevent damage during transport
Transport contents to cleaning facility for cleaning and storage
Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment to move heavy items
Adhere to MSDS recognized standards
Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and maintain in clean serviceable condition
Assist driver in navigating to client home, maneuvering around power lines, driveways, trees etc. Helper must always be out and guiding driver when driver is backing up truck
Must have a comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices
Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving trucks, equipment and warehouse

Skills

Valid driver's license
Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly (50lb)
Excellent time management skills and proven track record of consistently arriving on time
Knowledge of proper loading and unloading techniques to prevent damage to items
Familiarity with operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment

Qualifications

Moving, construction, restoration, or insurance industry experience required
Must be able to identify Product (consumables), usage, and disposal requirements with training
Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per Blue Kangaroo Packoutz’s vehicle policy
Possess a sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs
Access and mobility in tight spaces

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
