Job Summary:
The Commercial Delivery - CDL A representative is expected to maintain a positive representation of Secor Lumber, both on the road and off. This role includes the appropriate use of company vehicles and equipment to deliver in a safe and timely manner. The main task of this
CDL-A position is delivery of wood trusses and other building materials to a variety of commercial and residential job sites. They should also perform in a manor consistent with our customer experience objectives and company values, meeting the needs of contractors and project owners alike. They will be home each evening with no over night travel.
Their job will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

They should also perform in a manor consistent with our customer experience objectives and company values, meeting the needs of contractors and project owners alike. They will be home each evening with no over night travel.
Their job will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Inspect the vehicle before starting that day’s deliveries to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
- Assist in the loading and/or securing of residential and commercial building products on trucks.
- Verifying materials and quantities for accuracy prior to departure.
- Delivering products and materials to customer’s job sites using the most efficient route available while observing and obeying all traffic laws and safety
regulations as well as company policies/procedures. - Maintain ongoing communication with customers to update them on the status of their delivery.
- Unload/assist unloading, according to customer specifications, products and materials at the customer’s job site; by hand, tilt bed, or piggyback lift.
- Review orders with customers to ensure it is correct.
- Responsible for securing returning loads on the company vehicle prior to leaving the job site.
- Adhere to all store policies and safety standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
- Organized, self-starter who thinks independently and solves problems.
- Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to bend, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
- Must be 21 years old or older.
- Must have an acceptable driving record and valid state CDL – Class A License.
- Must have current and valid Medical Certification Card.
- Successful applicants are subject to pre-employment drug testing, background check, and driver history check in accordance with applicable federal and state law.

Compensation: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
