As a Material Handler Lead, you will oversee and coordinate daily operations of the material handling team, ensuring efficient and safe handling of materials. This role requires the ability to assign tasks and prioritize workload among material handlers, while also possessing skills to troubleshoot and maintain machinery as needed.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the material handling team to ensure smooth operations.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to material handlers based on workload and priorities.
Train and mentor material handlers on proper handling techniques and safety protocols.
Inspect and maintain material handling equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair machinery as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate material flow and support production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and participate in periodic inventory counts as required.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections.
Provide regular feedback to management on team performance and suggest improvements for efficiency and safety.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in material handling or related field is a plus.
Proven experience in a material handler or similar role, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of material handling equipment and machinery.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Working Hours: 6:00AM - 3:30PM

Compensation: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
