We are looking for a fun and energetic Pre-K 7-pt Lead teachers for our school. The qualified candidate will also have experience working with post-covid behaviors and developmental needs of children. This comes in the form of patience, flexibility and taking initiative to research and develop new skills that best help the classroom needs.

Daily Responsibilities 

 

Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together to: 
§ Developing lesson plans. 
§ Meeting the individual's needs of the children 
§ Parent communication. 
§ Participation in staff and training meetings. 
§ Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom. 
§ Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning. 
§ Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level. 
§ Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills. 
§ Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff. 
§ Building teamwork. 
§ Using assessment tools. 
§ Committing to continuing education. 
Both Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. Lead & Assistant Teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning! 

Our lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. Teachers will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment. Teachers work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous experience preferred
  • Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
  • Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
  • Meets background check eligibility
Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
