Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing support to our dentists and delivering high-quality patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed.
Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
- Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and provide support during treatments.
- Explain dental procedures and post-treatment care to patients.
- Obtain and update patient dental records.

Clinical Support:
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients’ mouths dry using suction or other devices.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Mix dental materials and prepare treatment trays.

Laboratory Duties:
- Pour, trim, and polish dental impressions.
- Fabricate temporary crowns or bridges.
- Take impressions for study casts.
- Perform laboratory procedures under the direction of the dentist.

Administrative Tasks:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar.
- Maintain patient records and update treatment notes.
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as necessary.
- Handle billing and payment processes, if required.

Compliance and Safety:
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including OSHA standards.
- Properly dispose of biohazard materials and follow waste disposal procedures.

Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in dental practices and procedures through continuing education.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
- Certification: Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) may be required based on state regulations.
- Experience: Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.

Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
