Service Technician
Company: Synairgy Mechanical
The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing a wide range of HVAC service work for industrial, commercial, and residential customers.
Customer-facing activities in this role require an individual who is decisive, tactful, dependable, and self-motivated, with strong communication skills across all customer groups. A Service Technician must be able to accurately diagnose system issues and efficiently complete repairs to the mutual benefit of both the customer and Synairgy Mechanical.
Job-related contact occurs with a wide range of individuals, including service customers, fellow technicians, the Service Manager, Dispatch, and Parts Runners.
Representative Duties
- Serve as an active member of the Service Department team, performing HVAC service jobs promptly and efficiently.
- Perform routine HVAC service activities independently, without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
- Assist Senior Service Technicians in training other Synairgy Mechanical employees on service-related topics, including callback prevention and equipment protocols.
- Conduct point-of-work sales of IAQ services, unit components, system replacements, add-on units, and residential service agreements.
- Develop and submit qualified lead referrals for the sales team.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma and completion of a post-secondary HVAC training program (or equivalent experience) of one year or more.
- EPA Certification required.
- One or more years of successful experience as a commercial service technician or installation technician.
- Strong verbal and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturer instructions and clearly communicate with residential and commercial customers, suppliers, and fellow employees.
- Physical ability to perform all assigned duties under varying conditions, including extreme weather.
- Demonstrated interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing HVAC skills through self-study, company training, manufacturer workshops, and other professional development opportunities.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles within 30 days of employment; must be insurable under the company’s insurance policy.
- Ability to work under time constraints, non-standard schedules, weather challenges, customer demands, and backlog pressures.

Compensation: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
