Maintenance Technician

Location: Knoxville, TN
Compensation: $23.00 per hour

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician performs repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance across commercial properties in the Knoxville area. This role works closely with property managers and tenants to maintain safe, functional, and well-maintained buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs
  • Conduct regular inspections with property managers
  • Complete and document work orders using company mobile applications
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergency service calls as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance (lighting, drains, plumbing checks, filters, minor roof inspections)
  • Prepare vacant units for new tenants
  • Track supplies and maintain inventory records
  • Coordinate with property managers to resolve tenant issues
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related facilities role
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
  • Combination of indoor and outdoor work
  • Regular movement between properties
  • Occasional after-hours or emergency response availability
This position may require physical activity including lifting, bending, climbing, and use of maintenance equipment.
