Job Description: As a CNC Machine Operator and Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines. You will work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to create high-quality parts with close tolerances. Your role will include collaborating with our team on designs and product development, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program CNC machines using Fusion 360 / HSM Works or similar software, including manual program changes.
- Set up and operate various CNC machines, including mills and lathes, for complex and precise production operations.
- Analyze job orders, drawings, and blueprints to produce intricate parts.
- Perform first article inspections and ensure parts conform to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop cost-efficient fabrication methods and resolve product/process issues.
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper calibration and cleanliness.
- Implement lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Train and mentor less experienced team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining and programming.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work well with others.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to keep a clean workspace.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, complex drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Advanced knowledge of shop mathematics, including trigonometry.
- Creative machining and setup skills with the ability to bring new ideas to the table.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform manual dexterity tasks.
