PURPOSE:
The ideal candidate for the Children's Ministry Assistant role should have a passion for ministry to children, a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, be reliable and excellent at following through on details, be adaptable and embrace innovation, and possess appropriate judgment and sensitivity. This individual will provide administrative support in areas such as curriculum editing, database management, volunteer coordination, event planning and execution, family communications, and weekly programming coverage.

EXPECTATIONS:
- Plan, prepare and adapt curriculum used in the children’s programs.
- Create volunteer schedules and substitutions on a weekly basis.
- Assist with creating the weekly experience in ACC Kids with opening and closing responsibilities.
- Maintain supplies and inventory for the ministry.
- Identify and communicate pastoral care needs of volunteers and families involved with ACC Kids.
- Assist in providing staff coverage for ACC Kids programming and, in the planning, and execution of children's ministry events.
- Foster relationships with children and families to encourage engagement and participation.
- Assist in the development of a special needs’ ministry.
- Support database management and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers for the children's ministry.

- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Children’s Ministry.

EXPERIENCE:
- No degree required, however experience of at least 3 years in Children’s Ministry or experience in a ministry leadership capacity is preferred.
