Position
This is a key position within our organization that will require traveling anywhere in the U.S. at a moment's notice. This individual must work closely with many other professionals and is responsible for directing, managing, and achieving operational objectives while representing the company professionally. The Catastrophe Restoration Department requires a rapid response to mobilize in support of disaster events.
Essential Functions
- Be available 24/7, 365 days, to mobilize immediately to a potential loss anywhere in the U.S.
- Maintain all Mooring CAT trailers, equipment, materials, and supplies to mobilize to a loss.
- Assist the local office with any potential large loss projects or as directed by Management.
- Conduct or assist a site visit/walk-through meeting with the insured, adjuster, consultants, or decision-maker.
- Once an agreement is negotiated, an authorization signature is needed before mobilization, and a detailed scope of work will be provided within 48 hours.
- Conduct or assist with identifying and writing the scope of work to determine the estimated cost and total projected loss.
- Identify all potential safety hazards and if permits are needed for the project.
- Coordinate mobilization of employees, temporary labor, materials, and equipment required to commence a project. Timing is critical.
- According to the Mooring USA Time and Material Rate Schedule, identify key personnel responsibilities and determine the labor class for every employee.
- Degree in Business or Construction Management (or equivalent on-the-job training)
- Experience in mitigation and construction practice
- Certifications in business-related fields
- Understanding of estimate, administration, and accounting software.
- Proficient in all of the services we provide.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification
- IICRC Certifications are a plus
