Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across various Med-Surg units, adapting to different patient populations and unit-specific protocols as needed.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, documenting vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatments, and developing individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform wound care, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans and monitoring for any adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and unit-based nursing teams to coordinate care, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of care across units.
- Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge plans, ensuring they understand and can follow through with post-hospital care.
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability, quickly adjusting to the demands of different Med-Surg units, including surgical, orthopedic, oncology, and telemetry, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med-Surg setting, with experience in multiple Med-Surg specialties being highly desirable.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to quickly assess and respond to diverse patient needs across various Med-Surg units.
- Excellent adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to providing consistent, high-quality care in a dynamic environment.
Compensation: $20.00 - $60.00 per hour
