Job Description: Director of Telemetry

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage the operations of the telemetry unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the effective use of telemetry monitoring systems.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans for the telemetry department, focusing on patient safety, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, integrating telemetry data into patient management and treatment plans.
  4. Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation, ensuring the financial health of the telemetry unit while maintaining high standards of care and patient outcomes.
  5. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and telemetry monitoring accuracy, implementing quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  6. Stay current with advancements in telemetry technology and best practices, integrating new innovations and evidence-based practices into the unit’s operations and care protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related healthcare field; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration is preferred.
  2. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in telemetry or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  4. Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring systems, cardiac care, and clinical best practices in telemetry.
  5. Proven experience in managing budgets, staffing, and resources within a healthcare setting.
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a multidisciplinary team toward achieving departmental goals and improving patient outcomes.
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
