The Machine Operator in the Weaving Operation is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and operation of all equipment used in the production of webbing and tapes. This role demands a deep understanding of the mechanics of needle looms and the construction of various webbing products. The operator will also analyze webbing samples to determine key characteristics such as warp, stuffer, binder, weft, and catch counts, as well as yarn deniers.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Operate, maintain, and repair all equipment used in the weaving operation.
- Analyze webbing samples to determine warp, stuffer, binder, weft, and catch counts, and assess yarn deniers.
- Ensure the efficient and accurate construction of webbing and tapes according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with needle looms and other weaving equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal operation of machinery.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of needle loom mechanics and weaving equipment.
- Experience in the construction of webbing and tapes.
- Ability to analyze and interpret webbing samples for precise production.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures for weaving machinery.
Working Hours: 2:30pm-11pm
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
