: Hubbard Family Swim School (HFSS)
This position will, for the most part, be held at our Phoenix swim school (32nd St. and Thunderbird Rd.) but will require occasional/monthly travel to our other three locations (Peoria, Goodyear, Mesa).

Job Summary
:
Under the limited supervision of the Systems Retail Manager, the Purchasing Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and accuracy of retail inventory and employee uniforms at all HFSS locations. This role involves receiving, stocking, and storing new product shipments, labeling and distributing retail items and uniforms, and maintaining appropriate backstock levels to anticipate seasonal demands. The Purchasing Merchandise Coordinator will also work closely with Location Retail Team Leads and assist in maintaining consistent retail displays and signage across all HFSS locations. This position requires leadership, organization, progressive decision-making, and personal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory reports, oversee the receipt, labeling, and storage of new product shipments, and ensure timely distribution of retail items and uniforms to all HFSS locations.
  • Uniform Coordination: Oversee the ordering and distribution of employee uniforms for both Hubbard Swim and Camp Hubbard.
  • Seasonal Inventory Initiatives: Proactively develop and implement seasonal inventory initiatives, signage, and displays to meet seasonal demands.
  • Stock Level Monitoring: Regularly review stock levels in collaboration with Location Retail Team Leads, anticipating seasonal demands, and ensuring sufficient backstock is available to meet business needs.
  • Product Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data and current trends to forecast future inventory needs, adjusting purchasing and stock levels to align with business goals.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain long-term, positive relationships with vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to support Hubbard’s business needs.
  • Purchase Order Management: Place and track purchase orders, reconcile invoices with shipments, and address any discrepancies with vendors in collaboration with the accounting team.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a supportive environment where staff feel encouraged and part of the Hubbard Family, promoting a team culture that aligns with Hubbard’s values.
  • Square POS Proficiency: Utilize Square POS for the management of inventory, ensuring accuracy in reporting and addressing discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Retail Display Maintenance: Collaborate with the Systems Retail Manager and Location Team Leads to maintain consistent, visually appealing retail displays and signage across all HFSS locations.
  • Retail Display Support: Work with the Systems Retail Manager and Location Team Leads to ensure consistent, visually appealing retail displays and signage across all HFSS locations.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve inventory processes, looking for ways to streamline operations, minimize waste, and optimize stock turnover.
  • Team Support and Training: Assist Location Retail Team Leads in understanding and implementing inventory processes, providing training as necessary, and supporting team members with retail inquiries or issues.
Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management, retail coordination, or purchasing in a small business or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to take personal responsibility for tasks.
  • Proficiency in Square POS or similar inventory management systems.
  • Ability to anticipate seasonal demands and coordinate backstock levels accordingly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with team members and external vendors.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently with limited supervision.

Compensation: $20-$27 per hour, based on experience.
