Job Description
Summary:The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.Job Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and test the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting. • Evaluate the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models. • Estimate time and cost to complete projects. • Simulate and test machine/structure/system operation. • Investigate and test vendors’ and competitors’ products. The Role will be primarily for developing systems to test new NPI components or test field return ECMs , Displays, and SensorsTypical Day or Week in the Role

Years of experience requiredDegrees or certifications requiredDisqualifiersPerformance indicators | Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preference would be in computer or electronics engineering.Related BS or MS projects or internships will be considered if durations are included.Related Associate’s Degree will be considered with an additional two years’ experience (seven years minimum)PhD holders would be considered overqualified and will be declined.5-7 years’ experience requiredTechnical Skills  (Required)Experience with lab equipment – Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Operational Amplifiers.Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) tool/processExperience with Failure Mode Effect & Root Cause Analysis (FMEA) processGood documentation and presentation skills using MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. (Desired)Knowledge and experience with connectivity/telematics technologies Experience with Operating Systems:  MS Windows 7,8,10, UNIX, UbuntuCanalyzer Soft Skills(Required)Good interpersonal and collaboration skillsAttention to detailsAbility to work in a team as well as an individualAbility to work under pressure and maintain deadlinesSelf starterAbility to communicate technical information effectively.  (Desired)  Disqualifiers/Red Flags:Strict mechanical background without sufficient electronics background will not have correct background.

 
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
