Summary:

Responsible for effectively prioritizing and troubleshooting inbound maintenance requests for all Swensons locations
regarding maintenance, repair or replacement of all facilities and equipment within. This includes communications with vendors as well as internal leadership on status of maintenance tickets and/or projects.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled day to day maintenance of all restaurants including but not limited to plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical and restaurant equipment;
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on all restaurant equipment;
  • Inspect, operate, or test equipment to diagnose malfunctions;
  • Understand and have experience in facility refurbishment, renovations, and new building installations;
  • Perform building, sidewalk and parking lot repairs as needed;
  • Ability to understand and interpret equipment manuals and work orders;
  • Monitor inventory and place orders;
  • Communication with all appropriate parties on progress and any concerns;
  • Ensure adherence to health/safety procedures and policies at all times;


Requirements

  • 2-5 years of maintenance experience; preferably in the restaurant or similar industry;
  • Knowledge and experience with HVAC equipment; forced air systems; refrigeration repair and overall restaurant kitchen equipment;
  • Ability to use mobile software to manage and track work orders;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, your own reliable source of transportation and be able to travel for work purposes;
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly develop positive working relationships;
  • Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, however, due to the restaurant schedules there will be occasions where overtime, weekend or after hours work will be required. Ability to have flexibility in weekly schedule. Availability to be on-call for emergencies.


ADA Requirements/Physical Standards:

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures based upon variable weather conditions inside and outside of the restaurant;
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility and reasonable range of motion such as bending, stooping, standing, walking, stirring, lifting to complete physical tasks related to responsibilities for up to ten (10) hours;
  • Able to safely respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others;
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds repetitively throughout a shift;
  • Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment;
  • Ability to safely work in an environment that includes wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noise;
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally and listen attentively to team members and vendors;
  • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and adhere to required safe driving expectations;
  • Ability to arrive on time for each scheduled shift and work throughout the shift (aside from legally required breaks) per the schedule and restaurant demands.
Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
