Residential Property Maintenance Technician

MCP Property Management is Hiring!
We are seeking a skilled Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role independently handles various maintenance tasks, including minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, painting, and HVAC) that don’t require a license. This position will serve as Maintenance Technician, reporting to the Lead Property Manager and Maintenance Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform clean outs and demolition work for apartment turnovers.
- Conduct general carpentry repairs: wallboard, countertops, cabinets, windows, doors, locks, and ceramic tile.
- Coordinate exterior siding and emergency roof repairs.
- Handle minor HVAC repairs.
- Supervise drywall repairs, painting, and cleaning of common areas.
- Maintain inventory and purchase supplies as needed.
- Use company or personal vehicle, and have good driving record.
- Snow removal during any required hours.
- Maintain grounds (mowing, pruning, debris removal).
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
- Be on-call for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: High School diploma or GED, 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced skills in at least 3 trades (electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, or carpentry).
- Comfortable using smartphones, computers, and tablets.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Available for on-call work during off hours rotation schedule.
- Must live within 30 minutes of Western MA (unless approved otherwise).
- CAMT certification
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work overhead, walk/stand for long periods, and perform tasks like lifting, snow shoveling, and more.
