Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will hold IICRC certification and have at least 5 years of experience in water, fire, and mold restoration and remediation. They should possess proven leadership and management skills, specifically within the restoration or a related field. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Purpose: The Operations Manager is a hands-on leader who directs a team of technicians and first-responders to address water, fire, and mold damage in residential and commercial properties. This role is focused on managing mitigation efforts, ensuring proper techniques are used in damage restoration, and fostering positive customer relationships. It's a perfect fit for a motivated self-starter passionate about customer service, with growth opportunities in technology and restoration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, schedule, and meet with home or business owners to assess damages and develop remediation plans.
  • Supervise the removal of damaged materials and ensure the correct placement of equipment.
  • Utilize fast-drying techniques to expedite material drying times.
  • Oversee the removal of baseboards, drywall, cabinets, flooring, and other structural materials as required.
  • Monitor job progress daily, follow up with clients, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Upload moisture readings, photos, and notes into the DASH system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain daily and weekly records of service calls and other tasks.
  • Review job documentation in the tracking system.
  • Track inventory and tools.
  • Oversee weekly time reporting for team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Be available for overtime and emergency on-call duties.
Required Skills & Characteristics:

  • Strong leadership with the ability to coach and guide direct reports.
  • Ability to assess situations and set up equipment/tools per industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot faulty equipment and ensure accountability for all tools and equipment used on the job.
  • Prioritize understanding customer needs while showing empathy during difficult situations.
  • Familiarity with local insurance carriers and policies to assist clients with their inquiries.
  • Ability to follow up on job leads and promote United Water Restoration services.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good driving record and ability to maintain vehicle cleanliness and functionality.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, and computers for regular communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident in using the internet.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and meet OSHA standards, including appropriate use of PPE.
Education & Experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience leading teams in trades, fire, police, or military services is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; advanced education or certifications are a plus.
  • Must either be certified or able to obtain IICRC certification within six months.
  • Experience in water, mold, and fire damage restoration, or a related technical field is desired.
  • Experience in a customer service role is an advantage.
Compensation: $64,000.00 per year
