Summary:

Meet or exceed daily production targets while promptly reporting any product issues, inventory shortages, maintenance concerns, or potential scheduling problems to management. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret and follow product specifications and production schedules.
- Set up and operate packaging machines in accordance with specifications.
- Stage necessary film, cartons, and labels based on specifications.
- Coordinate with the mixer to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Apply proper labeling and printing to bags per specifications.
- Assemble cartons and inspect packages for correct product, film, seal integrity, weight, and labeling.
- Package finished goods, label cartons, verify case weights, seal cartons, and stack on pallets per guidelines.
- Label boxes and pallets and move finished products to the appropriate staging area.
- Return unused packaging materials to inventory and promptly report any exceptions.
- Notify management and maintenance of equipment issues.
- Complete daily production reports accurately.
- Report for new assignments during machine downtimes.
- Perform rework of non-standard products as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Supervise and train assigned personnel.
- Follow all quality control, safety, and food safety protocols, including GMPs.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of retail production equipment and perform ATP testing.
- Obtain all necessary quality and safety sign-offs and checks.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the retail product line.
- Proficient in reading and math, with a solid understanding of the metric system.
- Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic skills capable of handling all non-major maintenance.
- Experience supervising and training team members.
- Certified in operating tow motors.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously and handle film rolls up to 75 lbs.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and working independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable climbing ladders or stairs and accessing platforms to work on equipment.
Compensation: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
