Job Title: Account Associate - Sales Support

Job Summary: As an Account Associate - Sales Support, you will work closely with an Account Representative/Account Manager/Agent, providing essential assistance to help drive sales and maintain strong client relationships. Your role will involve supporting the account representative/manager/agent in various aspects of the sales process, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the account representative/manager/agent with administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence.
  2. Collaborate with the account representative/manager/agent to identify potential clients and generate leads through research and prospecting activities.
  3. Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals in coordination with the account representative/manager/agent, emphasizing the benefits and features of the offered products/services.
  4. Handle incoming calls and inquiries from clients, providing accurate information and addressing their concerns or directing them to the appropriate contact.
  5. Maintain and update client databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date client information.
  6. Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction, address post-sales queries, and offer ongoing support.
  7. Prepare sales reports, analyze sales data, and assist in tracking sales performance, identifying trends, and proposing improvements.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, products/services, and competitors, providing insights and suggestions to enhance the sales process.
  9. Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient sales process.
  10. Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and maintain professional ethics.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and build relationships.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to close sales and achieve targets.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of insurance-related software and CRM systems.
  • A valid insurance license or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe (requirements vary by jurisdiction).
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
